Extreme Cowboy Race

Our Extreme Cowboy Race takes place on both Saturday Feb. 24 and Sunday Feb. 25 with riders riding one 'run' each time in their respective category.

Both 'runs' will count toward the challenge total that weekend.

The challenge will be to take and finish each obstacle, in an imposed course, with their horse and do so as smoothly, faultlessly, without hesitation and willingly as possible.

It would not be a race should it not be against time, there are bonus points to be earned for combinations that can stay under 8 minutes.

Here the rider must master the aids (seat, legs, hands of the rider) when riding as well as possible to successfully complete this technical task.

On Saturday, Feb. 24, we also provide Pony Games in the evening, these are agility challenges for each rider with his/her horse where speed does play a major role and penalty time is handed out when obstacles are tapped or knocked over.

To make the weekend totally exciting, some riders will also compete in a duel during the Duel Races on Sunday (after the EXCA race).

This is an imposed course with obstacles like in the Extreme Cowboy Race, but simultaneous and with the time measured to hundredths of a seconde⏱️.

For our EXCA competition, riders participate in various categories from beginners to pro riders. From start to finish, you will thus be continually stimulated to see more of what these rider-horse combinations can accomplish.

Each discipline takes place under the critical eye of a Judge for an objective assessment and taking into account the horse breeds participating.

(This sport is open to any breed)
